Title of Position: London Community and Family Services Appointment Scheduler
Location/Program: Basic Needs Program – Hillcrest Community Church
Description of Assignment: Responding to telephone messages and emails to set up food bank appointments. Providing a positive first impression with clients with friendly service. Schedulers may also be responsible for answering basic questions and directing people to the appropriate staff for further assistance.
Specific Duties:
- Reading telephone messages
- Connecting with clients on the telephone to set up a food bank appointment
- Reading email messages
- Sending emails to clients with a food bank appointment
- Setting appointments in Link2Feed database
Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age and provide The Salvation Army with a police record check. Punctuality, attention to detail and adherence to safety guidelines are imperative. Dress code and other professional standards must be adhered to. Confidentiality and co-operation is expected. Previous experience working with marginalized individuals, those with mental health and addiction issues is an asset. Arabic or Spanish speaking/writing is an asset.
SCHEDULE:
Minimum two hours, one day per week. 9:00am – 11:00am OR 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Monday to Friday at Hillcrest Community Church
LENGTH OF COMMITMENT NECESSARY: Minimum of 6 months
