Sally’s Senior Adventure Club

Dates: Tuesdays, October 10, 17, 24, 31, & Nov 7, 14, 2023

Location: London Citadel (555 Springbank Drive)

Times: 10:30am – 2pm

Overview: Created for seniors 60+, this 6-week program begins with a fun creative escape where participants will make an interesting craft. Followed by a supplied lunch and a low impact physical activity (nature walk, balloon volleyball, shuffleboard, etc.).

Each week will have different activities. Participants should bring a water bottle.

There is no fee for this program, and everything is supplied.

Skills 4 Life – Teen Program (Ages 14-18)

Wednesdays – Hillcrest Community Church (310 Vesta Road) 5pm – 7pm
Thursdays – Westminster Park Community Church (1190 Southdale Road) 5pm – 7pm

October 11-November 29 – Registration is required, and a commitment of 8 weeks (one evening per week) is expected.

Groups are capped at 8 participants per location.

A fun and interactive 8-week program that teaches teens basic life skills like cooking, food shopping, sewing, financial literacy, mental health & self-care and exploring career paths in the growing food sector. Each week has a different guest speaker and participants will prepare and share a meal together. The final week is a round table wrap up with panelists from various facets of the food industry to discuss opportunities.

There is no charge to participate in this program.

Participants and their parents will be asked to complete a brief evaluation survey at the completion of the program.
